-
Vibrant – To be
filled with life. Not a traditional ‘religious’ framework but an
enjoyable, uplifting and challenging environment. (Psalm 66:1;
89:15; Isaiah 60:5)
-
Contemporary –
relevant to today’s culture. Our music, ministry and methods
reflect the constant changes within our society but our message
always remains the same. (Joel 1:4; Psalm 45:17)
-
Pentecostal –
We are a people who have been impacted by the Holy Spirit. We
believe in the Baptism of the Spirit as an experience subsequent
to being saved and we expect the release of the Spiritual Gifts
within our lives. Our worship reflects an expectation of the
Holy Spirit’s impact in our daily lives. (Acts 2; Ephesians
5:18; 1 Corinthians 12)
-
Worship - is
the expression of our relationship with God, the response of our
soul, spirit and body to all that God has done for us. Worship
is expressed in our corporate gatherings and our personal
devotions but is seen as more than simply an activity, worship
is truly a lifestyle. (John 4:23; Psalm 29:2; Psalm 66:5)
-
Fellowship – is
the expression of our relationships to each other. The open,
caring response of willingly sharing yourself in depth with your
Christian brothers and sisters. It includes: loving one another;
bearing one another’s burdens; encouraging one another;
submitting to one another; teaching one another...... It calls
for a lifestyle of giving and receiving God’s love. (Hebrews
10:24-25; Acts 2:42-43; 1 John 1:7)
-
Discipleship –
is the development of new believers into fully devoted and
re-productive followers of Jesus Christ. It is a process which
includes encouragement, mentoring and support offered freely and
lovingly from other disciples. (Matthew 28:19-20; John 8:31-32;
John 13:35)
-
Ministry – is
the expression of our response to the calling which Christ has
given His Church. It is “Christianity in Action”, where we
demonstrate to the world the power and love of Christ through
the work of our hands. (Matthew 25:31-46; Romans 12:6-8)
-
Evangelism – is
our response to the command to “go into all the world and preach
the gospel”. It is demonstrated by the way we live, the things
we say and the various ways we reach out. Our task is to win our
generation for Christ. (Mark 16:15-18; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23;
Romans 1:16)
-
The Bible – is
the Word of God. Complete and inerrant (without error). We
believe that the Bible contains all the understanding the
believer needs for life and ministry and points us in the way we
should walk. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12)
-
The Holy Spirit
– is the third member of the Trinity. He is not a force or a
feeling. He is God. He powerfully impacts our lives and
transforms our souls. He is welcome in the midst of every
activity of our Church. (Romans 12:2; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Acts
4:31)
-
Transforming –
being changed from one form to another. The Lord desires to take
us on a journey from “Glory to Glory”. We are made in His image
and He wants to work upon us so that we become more and more
like Him every day. (Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 3:18)
-
Healing – the
Lord desires to bring physical, emotional and mental healing to
all. We have been entrusted with the Gospel which includes the
message of healing for all. We believe in the supernatural
workings of God. (John 5:6-8; Mark 16:17-18)
-
Passionate
Spiritual Lives – our spiritual lives are designed to be ‘on
fire’, not merely a testimony to things which used to happen.
The Lord desires to have people serving Him who are hearing His
voice, walking in faith and obeying His commands. He wants us to
be passionate! (Psalm 104:4; Micah 3:8)
